New Delhi: UPSC Prelims 2020 Answer Key of GS & CSAT:
UPSC conducted the preliminary examination under the Civil Services Examination 2020 as per the schedule on October 4. More than 10.5 lakh candidates had registered for the exam. Under UPSC Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2020, the examination of the first shift ended at 11.30 a.m. and the question paper of the second shift ended at 4.30 p.m. The commission successfully conducted the examination, except for the traffic-related problems faced by the candidates who appeared in the examination. A total of 10,57,958 candidates had registered for the examination as per the official information given by the UPSC during the hearing of a petition filed in the Supreme Court for the holding of Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2020. For more than one million candidates, a total of 2,569 sub-examination centres were set up by the Commission in 72 cities across the country. The Commission was directed by the Supreme Court to make special arrangements in the wake of the Covid-19 epidemic during the examination and separate seating arrangements for the candidates with symptoms.

In UPSC CSAT Paper 2, the candidates considered it to be of ‘Moderate’ difficulty level. However, some considered it quite difficult. One candidate shared that Paper 2 was easier than before in which questions were asked as expected. UPSC Prelims 2020 Paper 1 was considered by candidates as ‘time taking’. Some candidates said that Paper 1 Conceptual was more ”factual”. According to them, UPSC has always been ‘unpredictable’. The first question paper of the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination 2020 – General Studies organized by Union Public Service Commission ended at 11.30 a.m. The exam started at 9.30 a.m. The candidates who appeared in UPSC Paper 1 GS had a mixed reaction to the paper. While some candidates considered the general study question paper difficult, many candidates found it to be in preparation. At the same time, the candidates shared the difficulties in reaching the examination centre due to Covid-19 epidemic.
